Dalmatians are intelligent, affectionate and easily recognizable by their gorgeous spotted coated. There is no dog with such distinctive marks, the jet black (or dark brown) spots against pure white fur. They are born white and their spots appear as they mature. Since no one can agree on their origin, you could say their history is āspottyā but there is no disputing that the breed is ancient. Evidence of their existence dates back to Egyptian times.
