Summer is in full swing here at Camp Hollow! The season for ocean breezes and salty air, bright sunshine and tan lines, warm evenings and fireflies at dusk, and nature bursting forth in all its green glory. That special summer magic has such an influence over how we feel, how we act, and of course, how we dress! That’s why we’ve been gravitating towards some of our brighter, bubblier pieces this month-- the ones that bring a fun pop of color to the party, or make us feel like we’re standing right at the seaside. Our Starfish, Crab, and Jellyfish Necklaces give some nautical nuance to any look, whether you’re coastal or landlocked! And the electric hues of our Flamingo and Chameleon pieces boast the colors of the most vibrant summer’s day, even when the clouds roll in.
We like to look at summer as a time for rest and relaxation, a time to laze around as the long days loll on. But it’s also a time for adventure and exploration, for trying new things and seeing new places. For creativity, imagination and challenge. We channeled that exciting energy into the new products we put out this month, and created pieces that previously existed only in our wildest dreams. Taking inspiration from the golden glow of the summer sunset and the white-hot temperatures of our kiln, we debuted the beginnings of a limited edition line of necklaces and cake toppers. The Golden White Tiger, Zebra, and Albino Python all joined the Camp Hollow family this June in a blaze of shimmering grandeur.
There’s a lot of cause for celebration this time of year, from high school graduations and college commencements to patriotic holidays and summer birthdays (we’re looking at you Geminis, Cancers, and Leos!). And we can all agree that celebrations with the people we love mean so much more in 2021 than maybe ever before. So we knew we had to restock our line of Party Animal Cake Toppers in time for all of your special occasions. Returning to the shop this month after a brief hiatus was our Cricket, T.Rex, and Deer candle holders, among others. We also restocked some of our best-selling, highly-giftable pieces, including items in our World’s Tiniest Creatures line. Because nothing says “Congratulations on getting your Ph.D!” like a porcelain toad the size of your fingertip.
We hope you had a lovely, fruitful June, full of beach days, sun rays, and time spent with friends and family. And we hope that Camp Hollow’s timeless jewelry and collectibles played a part in bringing you some summer joy.
